John Flynn joined the New York City Police Department in April of 1987. After the Academy, John was assigned to the 13th Precinct, where he worked every facet of the job, including patrol, street narcotics, anti-crime, robbery, and the detective squad. In 1990, He was elected to serve as a New York City Police Benevolent Association delegate. In 1997, John was elected to serve as the Manhattan South Trustee, a position which he still holds today, in addition to his position as Chairman of the PAC. John also serves as the National Vice President for NAPO. Since March of 2020 he has served on the executive board of First Net, AT&T, Health, and Wellness.
