NAPO Responds to Senators Warren and Harris in Defense of Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson

August 13, 2019

On August 9, 2019, Senators and candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris both publicly called the use of force by Ferguson, Missouri Police Officer Darren Wilson against Michael Brown “murder”. While it is clear that this is nothing but the most base and cynical exploitation of the incident by ambitious politicians, NAPO felt it necessary to call them to account and set the record straight once more.

In an effort to assist them, NAPO hopes that by knocking down some of the myths that have grown up around this case, we can do our part to place the truth into the public’s view, and help anyone who is genuinely interested to understand what happened. NAPO sent the notes below to the Senators today.
