NEW WEAPON FOLLOWING GLOCK .45 CONCERNS

Portland Police officers are in the process of replacing their weapon of choice, the Glock .45 calibre pistol, with the more reliable 9mm model. Recent mechanical failures of the .45 calibre Glock pistol during Portland Police firearms training heavily contributed to this decision. It was decided during analysis of these failures that the 9mm model did not have the same type of failures as the Glock .45 calibre handgun.
